What Is Interact?

Service Above Self.

The name Interact is a combination of the words international and action and thus emphasizes international service, creating overseas relationships and helping the disadvantaged worldwide. Interact is a service club for teens aged 12-18 that works with and for the community through various events, service projects, and fundraisers. Interact clubs are sponsored by their individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance; but, Interact clubs are entirely self-governed through club-elected officers and self-supported by individual fundraisers.

Our District is built on the participation of interactors at a school level. School clubs, lead by school leadership, host their own events, bondings, and fundraisers.

Area

School clubs come together to maximize impact as an area. Area leadership hosts events, bondings, and fundraisers with greater scale than their individual clubs. Area events are great places to meet local students from other schools in your school district.

District

Our 13 Areas compile to become district 5170! The district operates as a large scale organization taking on greater international challenges and utilizing the expansive Bay Area Interact network to serve our community.
