Hello Interact 5170! Save the date- March 5th-6th, we will be having our Cal Rotaract sleepover trip! Come learn about the college life, UC Berkeley, and your next step in Rotary: Rotaract! We will be taking sign ups for those that are interested so it’s first come, first serve!

hello all of Interact! The date is closely approaching…the date current and incoming presidents, current and incoming officers and members, and current and incoming District Council members have been waiting for.

For all of you that are wondering what I am talking about, and for those that already know, the date I am talking about is February 19th – 20th: INTERACT D5170′s PRESIDENT’S WINTER RETREAT.

The beginning to a new adventure for many; as well as a beginning to a strong finish for others. To briefly describe the impact PWR had on me last year is quite simple. Cliche as it comes, I wouldn’t be where I am today- typing this blog, leading Interactors district and school wide, leading the MSJ student body, leading the swim team, and most importantly, leading my own life if it weren’t for President’s Winter Retreat.

PWR, as our Big Boss Bob calls it, is not for those people grudged into Interact, but for those that genuinely care about making a different. An invitation to PWR is one of the biggest opportunities anyone could ask for; for it may open many doors that probably were never there before.

Probably the best district event put on my DC, I really don’t see why you would pass up an offer so grand; it’s power can’t even be explained in a mere blog..! My advice to anyone that reads this and is interested? Contact your president, area director, or even myself for information about President’s Winter Retreat and how you too can experience the power.

HEEEEEEEELLLLO ALL INTERACTORS!

The news is out! The wait is over! FLC IS HERE! For those of you that are new to Interact, Fall Leadership Conference is District 5170′s BIGGEST event, where over one thousand Interactors all over our district come and learn about leadership development and skills, community service, what Interact are about, and of course…our INTERNATIONAL PROJECT! Excuse me, but I mistakenly said we were having Interactors from only our district who are attending FLC; but in fact, we are warmly welcoming incoming Interactors from as far as Brazil, to Arizona, and Colorado! As the biggest and most renown district in the world, Interactors all over the globe are anxious to see what we are about and what we have to offer. And boy, do we have much to offer!

I promise that this event will be worth while and well worth your time; you will definitely interact with many new souls you have never met before, make new friends, learn about both Interact and leadership, and above all, have a dynamic time!

So if you haven’t already, contact your school presidents and area directors to sign up for FLC! Be prepared to walk in with a smile, enthusiasm, energy, and above all, with an open heart&open mind.
