HELLO you Area 6 Wintergreen Whales!

In case you want to buy one of our oh-so amazing, simplistic, wintergreen, cool-feel shirts, here are the designs! You guys have probably seen these shirts publicized at your schools, so turn in $12 to your presidents! Do NOT be left out in A6! Thanks to those that have already bought t-shirts!

Fall Leadership Conference 2010-2011 – Area 6

It breaks my (I say the same for Julie, Raymond, Ryan and the rest of the seniors, as well) heart that this will be the last FLC that we get to be a part of, but honestly, it fills me with so much joy that I get to spend it with you Area 6 whales. All of you underclassmen out there, you guys are beasting it up this year, I haven’t seen spirit like that ever! So really you guys, keep on continuing what you’re doing, you inspire us :].

Upcoming Events/Updates

  • Halloween Haunt @ CGA, 10/23 7pm-12am - Take on Area 6′s challenge and rite of passage by riding on Drop Zone and completing all 5 mazes before the night ends!
  • Pins / Lanyards – We will be starting to sell NEW lanyards and pins very soon, so keep a lookout on updates for that!
  • Charity Dinner Venues – Be on the lookout for venues for Charity Dinner! $500 budget, 200-300 capacity, stage, close-by kitchen, tables. Let’s brainstorm and try and finalize this at the next area meeting.

FLC Information!

Posted by John

Hello Wintergreen Whales,

Please start registration for FLC, the BIGGEST rally that Interact has yearly!

Presidents: I have already sent out the registration form that needs to be completely filled out before FLC, but I will attach it once again. Spread the word of FLC to your clubs and get recruiting! :)

Secretaries: When making the spreadsheet for registration, please include your member’s name, ID, Grade, Phone Number, whether/whether not they paid the $10, whether/whether not they want spirit gear for $3, what kind of Togo’s sandwich they want (Beef/Veggies/Ham/Turkey), and WHO they were referred by.

Registration is CLOSED October 8th, 11:59:99PM.

Treasurers: You guys are in charge of keeping track of the money for FLC. Please make sure all of the members that are going at your school pay before FLC comes rolling by.

Other Officers / Board Members
: You guys have one of the most important jobs: recruitment. This year, everyone is required to recruit at least 2 people from their clubs to go to FLC. Make it sound exciting when trying to get your members to go – it is the biggest event of the year, you will meet new people, gain new leadership skills, and plus, the International Project will be revealed! Lunch is provided, etc etc, you guys know what to do. :]

T-Shirts have come in! I will be sending out shirts to Mt. Pleasant and Milpitas High School. Piedmont and Independence, please start selling your shirts before FLC! They are $12 each!

Next Area Meeting
: It will be on the 10th of October, from 10:00am-11:30am at Raymond Cheng’s awesome home once again.

I realize that a lot of people will be out studying for the SATs on the 3rd, which is why it is now moved to the 10th. Mt Pleasant, I know you guys cannot make this date, so we will fill you in. For everyone else, please reply if you CANNOT make this meeting, so that we can excuse you.

So in total, that is…
$10 for ticket
$3 for spirit gear
$12 for shirt

Make the investment, guys; it will be worth it year-long, and will produce lasting memories. You guys are all required to attend Fall Leadership Conference to represent your school and Area 6.

Let’s continue this year with a blast, Wintergreen Whales. :]
