Area 6′s Piedmont Hills High School Interact is holding a Great Jump Fundraiser! Support them by coming out with your friends to Great Jump. They’re raising funds for our International Project Mary’s Meals and the Firelight Foundation. Mary’s Meals aims to help feed children in 3rd world countries one serving at a time. The Firelight Foundation’s goal is to improve the well-being of children made vulnerable by HIV, AIDS and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. Help Interact meet our goal of $70,000 to help these charities!

• $13 includes special great jump socks, a chance to participate in our tournament, and an hour of jumping!
• 6-9PM!

Interact is also having a mini Great Jump Dodge ball Tournament. The tournament will start at 6:30, so for those who want to participate come at 6! There WILL be a prize for the winners, and the only enlisting fee is the 13 dollars to get in.
• Teams of 7, 5 players will be playing at a time (2 substitutions)
Btw! If you’re not interested with sharing the prize with 7 other people, you can play with less, but keep in mind that will put you at a disadvantage!

• Rounds will be 3 minutes long
• Prize is $140

May the Benefit Show planning commence!! Yesterday Sunday evening, while many of you were enjoying the football game, Area 6 officers and board members were off working hard at our monthly area meeting! We welcomed new board members from all schools, welcoming them to the area 6 family. Our family has grown to 75 people. It’s CRAZY! We had a lot on our schedule so we started IMMEDIATELY. We focused on our 8th annual Benefit Show coming up!! Area 6 finalized on the performance set list that is yet to be revealed! And let me tell you, we’re keeping the night EXCITING. We would like to thank all 25 groups that auditioned to perform and are sad to say that we could not accept everyone. However, there are always more chances in the future! Our goal for Benefit Show is to keep the audience entertained, and with the current set list, we’re doing just that! We plan to include more audience interaction at our Benefit Show. Head my warning, this will not be your typical Benefit Show where you enjoy a night quietly sitting on your seat. This is an AREA 6 INTERACT BENEFIT SHOW. Expect laughs, new friends, and MORE! We are changing things up and working those creative minds of ours. With out committee heads chosen and grouped, new leaders in our family are being created. Area 6 offers leadership experience to all that are willing. Stay tuned for more details about our Benefit Show!!

Area 6 is holding its 8th Annual Benefit Show entitled “BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN” on MARCH 03, 2012 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm & we’re looking for our PERFORMERS!! EVERYONE interested in performing must fill out an application and turn in a youtube audition. We’re now picking performers based on PERFORMANCE ONLY. Those who auditioned for our Charity Dinner but did not make it are no longer guaranteed a spot to perform so make sure you impress us in your videos!! School & background will be completely disregarded so we wish the best of luck to you all!

As part of an annual tradition, Piedmont Hills Interact Club held Christmas Caroling at two supermarkets this year–Trader Joes in Los Gatos on December 10th, and Whole Foods in Campbell on December 18th. With lovely orchestra accompaniment by our Interact officers (complete with violins and a cello!), Interact members sang Christmas songs for hours to raise donations for Free the Youth. From our two caroling dates, we raised a total of $447.07!! Thank you to everybody who came by to support us! Watch out for our beautiful caroling voices next year.
