Sorry for what seems like an eternity of no updates.
First of all, let me update you on what some of my lovely Dancing Teal T-Rex schools have been up to.
First at bat is St. Joseph Notre Dame in Alameda:
They went trick or treating for cans on Halloween and received over 500lbs of donations from Alameda residents.
Next, they donated a van full of toys for children to the St. Anthony’s Foundation in San Francisco.

Second we have lovely Skyline High School on Oakland:
They had a plethora of Interactors volunteer at the Holiday Parade in December and have had many other service events with great success.
They are now in search of fundraisers and other service events for their members.

Third is Emery High School in Emeryville:
Their club has nearly tripled in size and has added an additional 50 hours of community service towards their goal.
They raised approximately $60 from a school-wide bake sale for ShelterBox.
They helped gift wrap for a local pharmaceutical company who donated giftsto needy families all over Emeryville and have been offered and opportunity to sponsor two children in Africa.

Fourth is Encinal High School in Alameda:
They have been busy with service events. They took part in an effort to clean up the East Bay, they helped prepare a senior citizen prom and arts& crafts activity.
They also have raised over $600 for ShelterBox so far.
They are now working on a movie night event aimed to raise even more money for ShelterBox.

Lastly, we have Alameda Science & Technology Institute:
They recently had a Karaoke night at school which raised around $200 and a free gift wrapping event at Alameda’s Southshore which raised another $200.
They went trick or treating for cans and received over 170lbs in donations from residents on Alameda’s Bayfarm neighborhood.

These are the updates so far from our last Area Meeting.
Keep your eyes peeled for more juicy updates and a special surprise from us in the future.

Alameda Science and Technology Institute presents to you a FREE CARWASH (with donations much appreciated)

This event is to both raise money for our club and for the upcoming International Project for 2010-2011. Be there and help us clean, advertise, and support us!

Hello my fantastic, Dancin’ Teal Tyrannosauruses!

I hope you are all enjoying this lovely Fridayyyy. I have a couple of updates for you guys. If you haven’t gotten the email, we are having an Area 1 Meeting this SUNDAY from around 1 to 2PM at Tucker’s on Park Street. It is so we can all get updated on each other’s clubs and talk about our individual club goals and how to achieve them. And afterwards, we will have a little bonding time

Secondly, ASTI is holding a free carwash October 16th from 8 to 6 at Lincoln Middle School. All donations from the carwash will go to our super secret International Project. Everyone is invited, so come out and enjoy the sun and ASTI Interact’s crazy antics as we wash your car so goood that you can eat off of it.

Hello hello hello and welcome to our new, lean, and mean fighting machine of a website designed by our very own Timmy Vo.

Anyways, I am super excited to be serving on this year’s District Council and super excited to meet everyone of you fantabulous Interactors all over District 5170. I cannot wait to see your beautiful faces at each and every event this year. So one of the first events I will get to see the faces of my area will be at the New President’s Meeting! (conveniently A.K.A. NPM) It will be August 28th beginning at 11AM at a super secret Interact location not even DC knows about it yet :O Also at NPM is mascot selection! Last year we were the ever so suave, Kryptonite Kobras. So bring your thinking caps or send in your amazing mascot brainstorms to me at area1@interact5170.org
