Area Bonding: Saturday, Oct. 9th @ San Tomas Park 1-6 PM

Get to know Interactors from other schools in our area before FLC! Area 11 consists of Los Gatos, Prospect, Saint Lawrence, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Westmont, and Wilcox.

We will be tie-dying our Area 11 shirts this day, so make sure you’ve got your groovy on!!
This event will be a potluck, so please be prepared to bring something to feed at least 10 people.

FLC is one of the largest events of the year. Interact members from all areas in District 5170 gather to meet each other and bond over activities and group work to learn about the other districts, Interact’s main goals for the year, and create lasting friendships with people from all over Northern California.

Wilcox wants to take as many people as possible to participate in these activities, so sign up with an officer right away!

End Polio Now Walk.

End Polio Now Walk

(10/24. registration: 11:00AM, Golden Gate Bridge Walk: 2:00pm, Ferry Lighting: 6:00PM)

To commemorate the beginning of the end of polio, there will be a Rotary International Sponsored End Polio Now Walk and Lighting of the San Francisco Ferry Building with the End Polio Now logo and Rotary wheel. However, the Bay Area is not alone in this lighting the following buildings will also be lit with the same signs: The Coliseum in Rome; The Pyramids of Egypt; and the Parliament Building in London. If you can join us for this memorable event, please RSVP on this form. This event is going to go down in history! All Interactors are invited so spread the word!!

As for transportation,
Rotary has provided us with buses
which will pick people up from multiple locations.

The 2010 Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival will feature the talents of local and regional artists with nearly 175 booths to visit, 25 community groups serving international foods, food vintners pouring fine wines, micro-brewed beer, live entertainment on three stages, and the ever-popular Kids Kingdom.

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is set inside picturesque Central Park.

The park sprawls over 52-acres and comprises a beautiful lake, hundreds of trees, several picnic areas and acres of green grass. More than 50,000 people from Santa Clara and the surrounding communities will attend the two-day event.

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is a tradition which brings the community together for one common purpose: to support vital community groups and organizations in Santa Clara. To date, the Festival has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival is free of charge to the community. Please leave your pets at home. The Santa Clara City Council has passed a special weekend ordinance that does not allow pets to be brought to the Festival.
